Born in Placitas New Mexico, Mark was raised by his Argentinean father and New York born Mother. Mark felt a strong connection to many cultures simultaneously and was raised with a love for the natural beauty of New Mexico and its rich tradition of film, theater, and art. Mark is an award winning director of photography with eight years experience shooting narrative, documentary, and commercial productions. An alumnus of Ohio University, Mark received an MFA in Cinematography in 2009. Mark also holds a B.A. in Anthropology and Printmaking from the University of New Mexico. His film credits as a cinematographer include DELIA, NEW METHICO, TORCIDA, CARPIO, DISTORTION, and WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN. As 2nd Unit Director of Photography, Mark is credited for WINESBURG OHIO and has over fifteen short films including two international productions. His work has led him to travel to Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Trinidad, Spain, and Vietnam. His award winning screenplay, MIRROR CALLED MEXICO recently entered the Latino Media Market, sponsored by the National Association of Latino Independent Producers.
